Beyond filmmaking, Adnan Soykot has contributed to the academic and cultural conversation around cinema through writing and editorial work. One of his most notable achievements in this area is the publication of Cineframe, the official annual magazine of the Jagannath University Film Society (JNUFS).

The idea for Cineframe was initiated by Adnan himself during his tenure as the Publicity and Publication Secretary of JNUFS. Under his leadership, the first issue was published on Jagannath University Day in October 2023, marking a new tradition for the society. Since then, it has continued as an annual publication, released every October 20, featuring essays, interviews, reviews, and visual content curated by film students and enthusiasts.
