Adnan Soykot's award-winning short film 'Puroskar' is now streaming on Bongo
Adnan Soykot is a young Bangladeshi filmmaker studying in the Department of Film and Television at Jagannath University, Dhaka. He is the former President of the Jagannath University Film Society (JNUFS) and is the founder and director of the rising production company, Khirki Films. Adnan has directed and produced several short films, documentaries, full-length dramas, and creative projects that capture the essence of everyday stories, blending cinematic tradition with bold, contemporary storytelling. He also works as a film editor and explores graphic design as a personal interest. Beyond filmmaking, he is conducts several research in film, investigating emerging trends & cultural transformations within cinema and media.

JNUFS, a non-profit and volunteer-driven organization, is dedicated to fostering a vibrant film culture within the university. Under his leadership, the society has organized film screenings, workshops, published the magazine Cineframe, and the first ever national-level festivals like JNUFF 2025, which celebrates student filmmaking across Bangladesh.
